Happy 4th Birthday my little girl...
To sit here and think about 4 years ago today, it just blows my mind. You were a big 9lb. 11oz. baby, and surprisingly easy to squeeze out. I'll give you the details later in life, but for right now, I'll just say that I had an easy birthing experience.
You've been my best friend for the past year, and I love you more each and every day. At times, you are my biggest challenge, but with each challenge, brings a new found strength.
You're really into entertaining...dancing, singing, telling stories. You are quite the entertainer. You're a little grown up, and sometimes tell me that you don't want to grow up.
You've got quite the imagination, and love to use it!!
Your teachers tell me that if I were to sign you up for kindergarten today, you'd be more than ready. WOW! What a compliment. Kudos to you....kudos to Mom! ;o) Hint, your teachers love and adore you!!
At this very moment, you're really in to your Dad. He worships you, and loves to hear about your new adventures from the day.

You have many friends, and are a very "motherly" and "nurturing" friend.
You get excited when you see any of the Obama's.
You love to roll your eyes. I think you got this from me.
You love to cuddle
You can write your name
When someone asked you if you knew how to spell MOM, you said "yes, M-A-L-I-A-H"! YEAH!!!!

All in all, I'm excited to see what the future holds for you, me, and all of us. Please don't grow up too fast. No matter what, you'll always be my little girl.

I love you, Kailee Bryanne!

and the award goes to.....

Soooooooooooooooo, it's been forever.
I guess I owe my one or two fellow 'blog" followers a post, eh?
I'll first start with a big congrats to our new President of the US...BARACK OBAMA!!
Second, seeing that I just turned the big 3-0, and my theme for the big celebration was "Hollywood", I'm going to be giving out my own awards, later in this post.

So much has changed since the end of 2008...
damn ice. that's all I've got to say. here it is March 12th, 2009, and they're calling for snow. yeah, yeah, yeah...bring it ON! after january 26th, the day of HELL for most. the day when it sounded like a freakin' war zone here in NWA, the day when all hell BROKE LOOSE, the day, that most lost power for days, for weeks...what a journey! I'd say that we, people of Northwest Arkansas can take on anything! Yes, even a war! Bring on the snow. I dare ya!
In the mist of the biggest ice storm that Northwest Arkansas has seen in many, many years, my dear sweet Granny seeked a better, yet probably warmer, place. She had passed on. RIP.

On to February. What a month. While my baby girl is turning 4, she's telling me that she no longer wants to get old, and that's she's NEVER going to be 5...or 6. I mean, she refuses. This little girl has some real problems, people. ha ha. Forget all of your worries, this little girl doesn't want to grow up. I asked her if she had a map to Never Never Land. I want to vacation there. For real. ;O)
On another note, i don't get to pretend I'm not getting older, because I am. Proud of it, too! I just celebrated my 30th! My amazing husband, my amazing Mom, and my amazing friends threw me the most AMAZING (ok, how many times can I say amazing in one sentence?) celebration. I knew that it was going to be somewhat of a surprise, but I had no clue what was in store for me. The theme was Hollywood......enough said.
I'll say one thing....most of you know what went "down" at SAVOR, but I must say, all in all, it was a SMALL price to pay for the amount of FUN I had on my birthday. I mean to say, WOW! The party committee was truly wonderful! The drama at SAVOR only lasted about ten minutes, and get this...I got to spend actual "quality" time with everyone there. Score!
When I got to my house, I was FLOORED!!! I had a red carpet (ok, it was actually HOT PINK, so it was better than red) and a STAR of FAME!!!!!!!
What a dream. Everyone was equipt with a camera, so they were screaming and asking me "what I was wearing". It was too cool. I danced my every loving ass off that night.

My brother, Kalen gets the award for best party buddy!! He's going to kick my ass for this, but he and I stayed up until 5:30AM singing to NKOTB!
Thanks, Kris for the jello shots btw! Ok, real quick....who puts EMERGEN-C in their jello shots?!? UM, KRISTIN! ha ha. thanks! i felt so much better the next morning. seriously!

Mom, you are Awesome!! You constantly give me support, laughter and love. You're just plain awesome! I love you.

Jessica, what can I say?!? You are OBVIOUSLY the party planner of the year. You...are....amazing, and I love you! enough said.

Sarah~Sage, you know me too well! Though we don't see each other often, you still know me, and my style. thank you for my awesome cake, it was PERFECT!! I love you. xo

Heather, Adela and Linda, thank you, thank you, thank you for helping set up the "walk of fame" and Hollywood station. I love you guys!!!

Mandy!! Mandy, you and I have been through most everything together. We won't count the "trash" that we've been through, but we'll definitely count everything from our childhood, to our adult hood. Thank you for being there for me on this day! I love you, girl.
I wanted to give a shout out to my other wonderful guests...Nana, for being NANA! Who else has a Grandmother quite as cool as mine?

Barbie and Steve, Doyle, Angela, Melissa, John, Josh, Jackie, Sara & Robbie, Rachel, Aimee, Adam, and Anita. Got to give a shout out to Rho Rho....my soul-sister. She had every intention on being at the party, but was in an accident that night. Everything with she and her husband her ok, but they were rear ended by a FREAK, that went in to convulsions. Needless to say, their night was cut short.

And last but not least, Bryan! Bryan, Bryan, Bryan! What can I say, you wore a TUXEDO! A HOT PINK vest at that! Granted, Briar Patch had major troubles with your tux, but you still managed to make it work. You looked SMOKIN', and you were such a PRINCE to me. Thank you for everything, I love you....

This concludes the awards ceremony for the evening. Thank you all for being a part of my celebration...and my life! I had a royal blast, and I felt like a star...all because of how special you all made me feel!

30 is good. I feel 18. Seriously! Even though it's only been 3 weeks, I feel great...even though I know I need to work out at least four times a week to look good. ugh. I guess the secret to reality isn't Never Never Land. It's botox and airbrush tanning? No botox here, but I'll take the darker look.

All in all, ain't no ice storm, ain't no SAVOR, aint NO ONE nor NOTHING gonna break my stride! I've got to keep on movin'! Until then, reach for the stars..............................................................................
